CONTOVERSIES IN CONCEPTUAL REFLECTIONS OF THE MODERN SOCIETY MODERNIZATION
 
Modernization as a macrosocial process theoretically studied by social sciences for more than 50 years is investigated in the article. The classic approach in social theory of modernization as well as the critical analysis of the fundamental principles of this approach are examined, then, the deduction is made that the universal model of progressive development implementation has a problematic character. Based on world-system analysis necessity of designing non-classical approaches are proven according to the modernization models multiplicity principal.
