The article defines and analyzes scientific achievements of Ukrainian political parties’ activity; considers the attempts of their classification; reflects the formation and development of political and party system; characterizes scientific approaches and analyzes domestic historiography of multi-party system formation in Ukraine in the 90th of the XX.
